Our Method
At Hekmat Studio, our method is rooted in classical Mat Pilates, reimagined through a modern and intentional lens. This low-impact practice emphasizes core strength, flexibility, posture, and precision — using bodyweight and curated props to both challenge and support your movement.
Each class is intentionally designed to engage the full body — strengthening the upper body with focused arm and core work, and sculpting the lower body through targeted glute and leg movements. Over time, you’ll build enduring strength, refined form, and a deeper connection to your body. Whether in a heated or non-heated setting, every session centers on mindful movement and consistency — the true foundation of lasting transformation.
Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Moujan Hekmat — founder and lead instructor at Hekmat Studio, certified classical Pilates instructor, and someone who’s genuinely passionate about all things wellness. My background is in nutrition and integrative health, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that movement is just as essential to feeling good. That’s what led me to become a personal trainer, dive into strength training, and eventually fall in love with Pilates.
I moved to the U.S. from Iran when I was 8 years old — I didn’t speak a word of English, but I was determined to make something meaningful of my journey. Years (and lots of practice) later, I get to do what I love every day, and now I’ve created a space where you can feel strong, supported, and truly at home.
